Wascomat Soap Tray Part Numbers: How to Find the Right Kit

Ordering the wrong soap tray kit for your Wascomat washer is a common and frustrating mistake. The issue: the part number molded into your soap box, not the generation, decides which kit fits, and older or non-Wascomat boxes carry different numbers. Here's how to check yours before you order.

Gen 6 vs Gen 7: What Changed

Wascomat (sold in North America by Laundrylux alongside Electrolux Professional) carried the same four-compartment soap box from Gen 6 into Gen 7. Parts suppliers list two numbers for the complete box, #432240101 (Gen 6) and #472995401 (Gen 6/Gen 7), and the same liner fits both. The changes between generations are in the controls and extraction speed, not the soap box; our Gen 6 vs Gen 7 comparison covers those.

How to Identify Your Generation

Check the model plate on your machine — it's usually on the inside of the door frame or on the back panel. Look for the model number. Gen 6 machines carry W6xx model numbers (W620 through W675, often with a CC suffix for Compass Control). Gen 7 machines use W7xx numbers (W720 through W777) or the current WLD, WED and WUD designations. If you're unsure, your Wascomat distributor can confirm the generation from the serial number, and our Wascomat washer guide sorts every family by model number.

The Part Numbers

Parts suppliers list #432240101 as the Gen 6 soap box and #472995401 as a Gen 6/Gen 7 box. Our Wascomat and Electrolux soap tray kit fits both numbers, so you don't need to specify a generation when ordering. Any accessory designed for Wascomat should state which part numbers it fits; if your box shows a different number, the kit won't fit.

Mixed Fleets

Many laundromats running Wascomat machines have a mix of Gen 6 and Gen 7 units — especially if machines were purchased over several years. Because one kit covers both generations, you only need one count: pull the box on each machine, confirm it reads #432240101 or #472995401, and order that many kits. Set aside any machine with a different number so it doesn't end up in the bulk order.

Electrolux Compatibility

Electrolux Professional commercial washers use the same soap tray designs as Wascomat. If you have Electrolux machines, the same part-number check applies. The part numbers and kits are interchangeable between the two brands.
