How to install your Speed Queen & Huebsch soap tray kit

Before you start

  • Time: 3–4 minutes per machine.
  • You need: isopropyl alcohol, a clean rag, and the machine key.
  • Install at closing. The machine stays out of service overnight while the tape bonds.

Steps

1. Open

Turn off power to the machine. Unlock the top with the machine key and lift it.

2. Clean

Wipe the soap tray rim and the underside of the lid with isopropyl alcohol. Let it dry completely.

3. Liner

Peel the backing off both tape pads on the back of the liner. Set the liner in the tray, tape side down, and slide it under the rubber gasket until it sits flush.

4. Label

Peel the tape backings and stick the label inside the lid, centered above the compartments. With the lid open, the text must read right-side up. (Your label says BACK OF MACHINE or FRONT OF MACHINE at the top, depending on the version you ordered. Either way, it reads right-side up when the lid is open.)

5. Press hard

Press firmly on every tape spot, on the liner and on the label. The bond comes from pressure, not just contact.

6. Close and wait

Lower and lock the top. Keep the machine out of service overnight. The tape reaches about 90% strength at 24 hours and full strength at 72 hours.

Important

  • Hot water limit: keep your hot water supply at or below 158°F (70°C). Hotter water can warp the liner over time.
  • Parts may stick together from packing. Separate them gently. It doesn't affect the install.

2. Limpiar

3. Inserto

Retire el papel protector de las dos cintas adhesivas en la parte trasera del inserto de colores. Colóquelo en la bandeja con la cinta hacia abajo y deslícelo por debajo del empaque de goma hasta que quede al ras.

4. Etiqueta

Retire el papel protector de las cintas y pegue la etiqueta dentro de la tapa, centrada sobre los compartimentos. Con la tapa abierta, el texto debe leerse al derecho.

5. Presione fuerte

Presione con firmeza cada punto con cinta, en el inserto y en la etiqueta. La adherencia depende de la presión.

6. Cerrar y esperar

Baje la cubierta y ciérrela con llave. Deje la máquina fuera de servicio toda la noche. La cinta alcanza cerca del 90% de su fuerza a las 24 horas y el 100% a las 72 horas.

Importante

  • Límite de agua caliente: mantenga el suministro de agua caliente a 158°F (70°C) o menos. El agua más caliente puede deformar el inserto con el tiempo.
  • Las piezas pueden venir pegadas por el empaque. Sepárelas con cuidado. No afecta la instalación.
