Install Guide: Cart AirTag Holder v2
Watch the 90-second install walkthrough (turn sound on for narration).
How to install your Cart AirTag Holder v2
No-drill clamp mount for 7/8 in round cart rails. Apple AirTag not included.
Before you start
- Time: 4–5 minutes per mount, including AirTag setup.
- You need: a bit driver or drill/driver with the T25 security bit (included in your kit), and an AirTag (not included).
- Name it first. Set up each AirTag in Find My and name it by cart number (“Cart 01,” “Cart 02” and so on), so you'll always know which cart is missing.
Steps
1. Pick a rail
Pick any rail on the cart's frame with a straight section at least 2.5 in long, clear of welds and casters. A bottom rail or a vertical rail both work, as long as it's 7/8 in round tube.

2. Pierce the layer
In each screw hole of the lower half, there's a thin layer of plastic. Push a screw through it. No drill needed.
Why it's there: that layer lets the screw seat print perfectly flat, so the screw head sits square and clamps evenly.

3. Nuts in
Slide a square nut into each side slot of the upper half until it stops. Then look down the screw hole to make sure the nut is centered. Either side of the nut can face up.

4. AirTag in
Insert your AirTag into the pocket in the lower half.

5. Clamp on
Clamp the two halves around the rail, with the AirTag side facing in, toward the center of the cart.

6. Drive + cover
Drive both screws with the T25 bit until the halves close. Snug, not cranked. Then press the covers in flush.

Important
- Keep the T25 bit. Store it with your maintenance tools. You'll need it for battery changes.
- Battery about once a year. Find My shows a low battery warning. Pop the covers out with a small flathead, remove the screws with the T25 bit, swap in a CR2032 battery, and reinstall.
- Chirps are normal. If your AirTag ever chirps, that's expected. It's built to alert nearby phones.

No necesita taladro.
